Nancy AbrahamNancy Abraham led the largest two year athletic program in the State of Georgia. As Athletic Director at Darton College, she oversaw the construction and completion of the new $12 million dollar Physical Education complex. Already, it is considered one of the nicest two year facilities in the Southeast.

In addition to her leadership during this phase, Cavalier athletic teams have excelled both on the field and in the classroom under her guidance Women's basketball, men's golf, men's soccer, and softball teams have all captured state titles during Abraham's watch. Student-athletes' GPAs have also ranked among the states' best due to her implementation of mandatory study sessions. In 1994, Abraham initiated and organized the Darton Boosters, which raises an average of $40,000 a year for Cavalier Athletics.

A fixture in the P.E. department and on the Darton College campus for nearly thirty years, Abraham has also served as Assistant Athletic Director, Director of Fitness, and Director of Summer Youth Programs. Abraham graduated from Georgia Southern University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Masters of Science in Teaching in 1973. She has served on numerous professional committees and is an active member of several community, state and national organizations including AAHPERD, GAHPERD, USGA, Georgia Women's Golf Association, and the new First Tee program.

Abraham always gave back to the community and campus which she loved. As she closed out her career after thirty years of distinguished service, Abraham can be assured that everyone at Darton College and the surrounding communities will reap the benefits of her hard work for years to come. Thanks Nancy!
